A walk along the Thames from Barnes to Kew Gardens and back. Most of the day's activities were social or horticultural, but this Jay posed nicely for me among the Magnolia droppings.

- Real name Ian. I have had an interest in photography since inheriting my dad's old Ensign Selfix 120 camera when I was about 13. My subjects have included family, travel, up mountains, down caves, the last few years of steam on our railways, and anything else that needed recording before it changed or disappeared! In 2007 I acquired a digital SLR and soon recognised its potential. As a result, wildlife was added to the list of subjects for the camera.
